Switching to HAS

Moving to HAS from another firm, or from doing it yourself.

Fill in our client information form and sign the letters of authority, and we do the rest. We use your existing provider numbers, agree a changeover date with each insurer, and take no commission on your old invoices.

The move

How the move works.

01

We come to see you

Wherever you work. We’ll show you HAS against your own numbers, before you sign anything.

02

You tell your current firm, when it suits you

When and how you let them know is up to you, and we’ll plan the move around it.

03

You sign the letters of authority

You fill in our client information form, and the letters of authority let us act for you with the insurers and hospitals. We use your existing provider numbers, so you don’t need new ones.

04

We set your changeover date

Usually 3 to 4 weeks after you agree to move, so we can set up our systems and adapt our software if we need to. We agree it with each insurer, so their payment listings come to us from that date.

05

We set up your hospitals

We set up billing with each hospital you work in.

06

We bill for you

From the changeover date, we send your invoices and follow each one through. You’ll see them all in your HAS account.

Before the changeover date, download all your past reports from your current firm, so you keep your full history. For a group, your account manager works with your spokesperson through the move.

Your old invoices

No commission on money we didn’t bill.

If money arrives for invoices we didn’t raise, such as your previous firm’s, we take no commission on it, so you won’t pay us for work another firm billed.

Some invoices from before the move, your old firm’s or your own, will still be unpaid when you change over. We only collect the invoices we raise, so those stay with whoever sent them.

Doing it yourself

Billing it yourself now? You can stop.

Plenty of consultants do their own billing, or their secretary does, until it gets too busy. Moving to HAS works the same way, without a firm to give notice to: fill in our client information form and sign the letters of authority, and we take it from there.

You pay nothing until you’re paid, there’s no contract, and you can leave whenever you like.

Thinking of moving? Start with your own numbers.

Leave your number and we’ll ring you back. Or we’ll come to you, wherever you work, and show you how the move would work for you.
