Commission
We’re paid when you’re paid.
We take a commission on what we collect for you, so every invoice matters as much to us as it does to you. One commission covers everything we do.
How it works
Our commission, in plain words.
Paid only when you’re paid
We only take commission on what we successfully collect for you. Nothing on invoices that are billed but not paid, nothing in advance and no minimum.
No commission on your old invoices
If money arrives for invoices we didn’t raise, such as your previous firm’s, we take no commission on it.
No contract
Nothing ties you in. You can leave whenever you like.
No hidden charges
It’s one all-in commission, with no maintenance costs and no hidden charges of any sort.
Negotiable
The commission can be negotiated, depending on the volume and value of your billing.
Our commission carries VAT at the current rate. It’s tax deductible against income tax at the higher rate, and your accountant can tell you how that applies to you.
What the commission covers
One commission, and all of it is included.
Getting set up
Registering you with Vhi, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life Health and Level Health, or moving you over from your current firm, and setting up billing with each hospital you work in. If we register you and you then bill through another firm, we charge for the registration.
Billing
Billing the insurers, the hospitals, the NTPF and self-pay patients, including inter-hospital billing. When a hospital changes its systems, our IT team updates our software to match, so your billing keeps going.
Follow-up
Following up every queried, rejected and underpaid invoice: the claim numbers, claim forms and length-of-stay letters, and visits to hospital finance departments to work through the listings.
Your account manager
Your own account manager, and a team who’ll come to you.
Your HAS account
Every invoice online, with logins for your secretary and accountant, and the year-end pack for your accountant: your F45s, copy statements and a debtor report.
Your patients
A person to answer your patients’ billing questions, online payment for them, and reminders, calls and debt collection when a bill goes unpaid.
What it would cost you
Worked out against your own figures.
Every practice is different, so we work the commission out with you, using your own numbers.
“HAS provides an exceptionally well-run, reliable and personal service at what I consider to be a very competitive and reasonable cost.”

Is there a charge for getting set up?
No, not when we do your billing. Registering you with the insurers, setting up your hospitals and moving you over from another firm are all covered by our commission. The one exception: if we register you and you then bill through another firm, we charge for the registration.
How is your commission paid?
It depends on how you’d like your money to reach you. If we look after it, we take our commission from what we collect and pay the rest over to you. If you’d rather it came to you directly through the month, we collect our commission at the start of the following month.

Leave your number and we’ll ring you back. Or we’ll come to you, wherever you work, and go through the commission with you, against your own figures.
