What we collect

What we collect through this website, and why.

We collect details through three forms: Arrange a visit, Ring me back, and the client information form for consultants setting up their billing with us.

Your name and email

So we know who we’re talking to, and can reply. Ring me back only asks for your name.

Your mobile number

So we can ring you back.

Your practice

Your specialty, the private hospitals you work in, where you’re starting from (for example, with another billing firm), and the consultant’s name if you’re arranging this for them.

When to ring you

Mornings, afternoons or evenings, and anything else you tell us.

Client information form

If you fill it in: how your name should appear on bills, your correspondence address, your HSE contract type, your Irish Medical Council number, your provider numbers with the insurers, and your secretary’s name, phone and email.

Why we use it

To ring you back or arrange a visit, to see whether HAS can help with your billing and, if you send us the client information form, to set up your billing with us and the insurers. We don’t use your details for anything else: they don’t go on a mailing list, and we don’t sell them.

Lawful basis

We use the details you send through these forms because you asked us to get in touch: to ring you back, arrange a visit or answer your question. Details in the client information form are used to set up the billing service you’ve asked us for.

Sharing and keeping

Who we share it with, and how long we keep it.

Who we share it with

Framer, which runs this website and sends each form to us by email. The email arrives in HAS’s own mailboxes and is read only by the HAS team. Cloudflare answers the lookup that turns has.ie into an address your browser can reach. If you send us the client information form, we give the insurers the details they need to set up your billing with us. We don’t share your details with anyone else.

Outside the EEA

Framer is based in the Netherlands but hosts its service with Amazon Web Services, mainly in the United States, so the details you send through these forms may be processed there. Framer’s data processing terms cover this: they use the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the company receiving the data is certified under it, and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses where it isn’t.

How long we keep it

If you become a client, your enquiry becomes part of your client record. If you don’t, we delete it within 12 months.

Our other sites

Pay a bill (payments.has.ie) and the client sign-in pages (hasdoctoronline.ie) are separate sites, and this notice doesn’t cover them.

Your rights

Your rights, and who to complain to.

Under data protection law (GDPR) you have the right to:

Access

Ask for a copy of the details we hold about you.

Correction

Ask us to correct details that are wrong or incomplete.

Erasure

Ask us to delete your details.

Restriction and objection

Ask us to limit how we use your details, or object to us using them.

Portability

Ask for your details in a form you can take elsewhere.

Withdrawing consent

Where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time.

To use any of these rights, email customerservices@has.ie or ring 01 492 8000, and we’ll reply within one month. If your request is about a patient’s details rather than your own, it belongs to the consultant responsible for their care: send it to us and we’ll pass it on and help them answer. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland’s data protection regulator, at dataprotection.ie.
