In 1984, as a result of market demand and to meet the constantly changing billing needs of the medical profession, Hospital Accounting Services was established.
We became commonly referred to as HAS and we have recently rebranded as HAS Medical Billing (a trade name of Hospital Accounting Services Limited) to more reflect our billing services to medical consultants.
Over the years we have seen many changes in billing practices, including full cover agreements with medical insurers and the introduction of direct payments to doctors by insurers. We have also seen our customer base expand to include individual and group practices in specialities such as Pathology, Radiology, Anaesthesia and Consultant Surgeons / Physicians. Our range of services also diversified to include Medico-Legal billing and end of year account preparation for vitally important Revenue Tax Returns. HAS Medical Billing are playing an increasingly important role in providing an invaluable and professional billing and administrative facility to discerning consultants nationwide.
Based in Rathfarnham in Dublin, we are constantly investing in high quality staff and technology. We have over the years designed a computer-based system dedicated to our clients needs and which allows us maximise the return to our clients of their private practice income. In May 2018 we launched our improved and dashboard based client portal which allows our clients access to a wide range of interactive and informative features to enable access to their own billing information. Clients can upload billing information securely via our client portal. HAS Medical Billing apps are also available to download.
